Horda Stans has collaborated with the furniture industry for over five decades, supplying molded fiber and plywood components to established manufacturers who demand high standards of repeatability and durability. We manufacture seats, backrests, armrests, and other parts from molded fiber and birch plywood, offering capabilities for precision pressing and custom geometries—ranging from single prototypes to ongoing serial deliveries.
Furniture components made of molded fiber and birch plywood
We compression-mold Formfiber materials—available in standard and HD densities—into complex geometries with high repeatability. Birch plywood in thicknesses ranging from 1.5 to 12 mm is used for seats, backrests, and load-bearing components where rigidity and dimensional stability are required. We install M4–M12 T-nuts and can supply components with surface finishes ready for the next stage of furniture production.
Acoustics and comfort in furniture design
Soundfelt® REC—a self-supporting material made from recycled textile fibers—is used in furniture where good acoustics and sustainable production are equally valued. The material can be laminated with fabric for an aesthetic finish and compression-molded into acoustic panels, room dividers, and desk screens. Polyester fiber offers a lightweight alternative with high moldability and documented acoustic properties.
Sustainable production and flexible volumes
We use FSC®-certified raw materials and recycled materials as a natural part of our production process. Our capacity allows us to handle seasonal fluctuations and rapid changes in volume without compromising delivery precision. We view ourselves as a technical partner rather than a supplier, and we are happy to contribute our material expertise as early as the design phase.
